Dog in Car

A few days ago I left Marco, the dog, in the car. He sometimes likes to relax there away from that pesky kitten Coco. Half an hour later I returned. All doors were locked and the key was in the ignition. A few moments of panic until I remembered that I was at home and the spare key was in the kitchen drawer.
Phew!

Marco had stepped on the lock button!. Then I thought what would I have done if I was away from home and no spare key.

So moral is; ALWAYS REMOVE THE KEY FROM THE IGNITION.

I post this as a helpful reminder to the few people who might possibly be as stupid as myself.

Also, if not at home, there is the potential on a hot day like today to find the dog has passed away due to the heat unless someone finds a way into the car quickly to rescue it. Not a happy situation all round...

And another thing is done leave a dog in a car with just a window open a bit. Temperatures today will kill a dog in a car in around 10 minutes or so. Same goes for young families with little children.

Dylan, our Hound, set the car alarm off when he hit the unlock button whilst the car was locked.

You could always move the button to the dash

It's only stupid to leave a dog in a car with all the windows closed. One or more windows should be open an inch or two at the top. This will allow you to poke the lock/unlock button with a rod or cane.

If I found a dog locked in a car on a hot day I would not hesitate to break one of the car windows.

I would enjoy breaking every window, not just to free the dog but to teach the owner a lesson.
