Security advice please
I've had my car transporter modified to accommodate my new 3 meter ramps. They need to be secured. The pictures show the pins in place which I need to replace with padlocks.
My question is do I get combination locks or keys? Is one more robust than the other? Combination saves on keys but are they breakable? I need a long shackle too as the pictures show. Thanks. Sent from my POT-LX1 using Tapatalk

Locks on their own are no match for an angle grinder (thieves weapon of choice these days). Try mounting the lock in some kind of box section so that the only way to release it easily is with the key (ie just the lock opening exposed). It takes a bit of working out how to do but I used similar on a recovery truck toolbox and never lost anything after fitting it.

I was offered a compound to store my truck plus about 6 to 8 cars. Right on a main road, no cameras and no lighting. I think my diesel would have disappeared over night! I declined.

I blame Lidl.---They now have a cheap range of battery operated angle grinders.---
Lots of villains probably have one in their tool kits nowadays.- The diamond discs go through high tensile steel like it was butter. |

Totally agree, the one downside of quiet (as opposed to petrol powered) efficient, portable battery operated tools.
