Perhaps a lesson for Westminster might need to be prepared for these types of actions if you frustrate the have nots.

On another forum a retired UK policeman posted that part of the problem in Washington yesterday was that 24 different law and order agencies were involved, slowing response, and reducing coordination. If it happened in London it would be the Met responding with unified control.

Some of the police at the Capitol were taking selfies with the terrorists. The National Guard was not deployed. By contrast, peaceful protestors were beaten and teargassed out of the Trump's way so he could stroll to a photo op outside a church. Not as a last resort, but as a first response.
The terrorists were live-streaming from inside the Capitol, including some at Nancy Pelosi's desk (from which they stole mail) and showing their names and faces. They have not been arrested. By contrast, Eric Garner was choked to death for selling loose cigarettes.
