re Wedasto T80 remote
I will be finishing the install of my FBH shortly (after weeks of snow!) and would like to install the T80 telestart that i removed from my scrapper last year. However, the remote had been sat for 3 years with batteries in, and these had leaked runing the remote. Does anyone know if any other remotes will work with the T80? I dont want to pay £100+ for a new BMW version but have seen cheaper ones supposedly that can be used on differnt models (ie T90 etc). Any suggestions guys?

Sorry to hi-jack the thread, but whilst we're on the subject....
I have a Webasto heater in the loft that I removed from a breaker many years ago. Would I be right in thinking that my 2004 Tourer has all the wiring in place ? And if I wanted to add a remote, is that different to the little timer that fits in the centre console ? Or could I just add the heater on it's own and the BCU would activate it at a certain outside temp ?? Many thanks in advance

hi yes all the wiring will be there you can just fit it you will need the dosing pump which sits in the rear wheel arch drivers side and it comes on when temp below 5 degrees with the engine running as well as the timer in the cubby hole you can get a webasto remote to wire in but very dear if you can get one email steve known as devlish on here he is an expert on these and can tell you all you need to know and he dose remote kits and text kits as well just info for you
