What I did with my Rover 75/MG ZT today?

I have changed my steering pump gasket gone, did the belts. All new clips for under cover and master's slaves cylinder from Discount MG Rover Spares - DMGRS's Shop.



I got used pump from Free Lander TD4

Drive out to Scarborough calling in at the Blacksmiths Arms in Cloughton for lunch, then onto Whitby and ice cream at Clara's. on Westcliff.

Yesterday actually, removed the ZT-T front bumper, replaced the cracked fog light assembly (thanks Mickyboy for the fog light), fitted a new Shannon tube, polished the headlight lenses, cleaned the slam panel and fitted a Seat Leon front splitter (bought new from the local Seat main dealer cheaper than I could get a cut about second hand one on eBay!).
After much trial fitting I decided not to cut the splitter down, but to trim the areas that didn't meet the bumper at the front corners and bond in new material to fill the gap that would otherwise have been there. I measured and trimmed the centre upright sections to keep the lower edge dead level, fabricated some tubular fixings to pass through the recess uprights and secured them to the bumper, along with the 18 other fixings I'm sure it won't be flexing or going anywhere.
I'm quite pleased with the results, but may trim the inside of the trailing edges so I can pull them in slightly so the top edge sits further under the lower edge of the bumper.
When refitting the bumper replaced all the lower fixings and Spire clips to keep everything nice and secure and ensure it will all come apart easily the next time I need to remove the bumper.

Yes it converts from laptop to tablet mode! Waiting on a ssd hard drive now to downgrade it to Windows xp tablet edition for better functionality over Windows 7.

That's very cool! I have an old Toughbook I use for my diagnostics but it doesn't have the tablet feature.
It weighs a ton too, but it's bulletproof!

I struggled with one of the crash bar bolts for at least 15 minutes as the welded nut had broken free, which is in an awkward place behind the crash bar and in a recess, add the fact its a square welded bolt with with four chamfered edges, in the end i managed to just about get some long nosed mole grips on to it.

As my ribs are now somewhat back to normal, I decided to tackle the errant ABS light problem. A loss of cruise and the intermittent light when engaging full lock, led me towards the nearside sensor, so started by plus-gassing the retaining bolt head, saw that it was quite badly corroded, so got out the Irwins. Straight out then, so gave the sensor a gentle tap and ........ movement so carried on wiggling and out it popped. Wire brush and clean up all round and then fitted the replacement sensor with a new bolt. Job done! Love it when a plan comes together. Thanks to all for advice and suggestions via forum and previous posts. Thanks to Trikey for offer of T4. I can now drive without my welding mask for fear of flashburn from that pesky yellow light! The old cable had some rubbing from previous encounters with the brake pipe! The intermittent nature of the fault (usually when on full lock) led me towards it being a broken wire (probably where it had rubbed previously).

Absolutely! I couldn't believe it when I saw movement! I've been eating lots of jam lately! Plus Gas is wonderful!
