Question New door finisher riser - rubber seals

Hi all

I need to replace the finisher riser on my drivers door and am reluctant to do so until I can source a set of seals - disturbing the originals is bound to crack or shear them. So far impossible to find on ebay or parts websites...does anyone have any ideas please?

Peter

Do you mean these ?

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/124303836...8AAOSwUolfPD12

And regarding the door seals, depends on if your car is Mk1 or Mk 2. Mark 1 had velour and Mark 2 Plastic

I think its the B pillar finisher he's referring to Stu.

I changed the ones on the 1.8T I used to have, not an easy job but had no trouble with nor caused any damage to the seals. Just take your time and do it on a hot day!

By the way Peter, if one side needs changing then the other will as well. They rust from the inside, by the time anything appears on the outside then the inside will be rotten. Mine had a few rust bubbles appearing on the outside but when I got them off discovered the inside of both was gone.

I just removed one of those door exterior b post trim panels. the rubber seals can be moved out of the way with no harm done. and yes, it was far more rotten than it appeared to be from the outside.
