Couldn't agree more. Exploitation can only work on the exploitable. The glibness (?) of the movers and shakers, especially on the mass media so widespread these days, was not available in generations gone by. Now any crackpot or niche movement idea gets instant mass attention and there are plenty of current examples of outbreaks of mad evangelism.
