A very sultry golden glow leads you out of the Harbour at Workington Cumbria across the Solway Firth towards the Scottish Coastline, with the Mountain range seemingly floating on the water April 2016
A very ominous looking sky, with the strong evening sunset rays casting this effect on the low very dark looking cloud hanging over the North Piers Whitehaven Cumbria August 2016 Looking out over the Clyde Estuary from Helensburgh Scotland towards a beautiful low November sunset, at low tide,November 2016

[2017]
This view taken from the A66 on our way home from a meet at the Lion Inn North Yorkshire, the trees silhouetted against the Southerly January evening Sky with a lovely Sun streak through the branches, January 2017. This lovely deep golden sunset on the Horizon of the Solway Firth Cumbria with a very ominous looking cloud above the old Harbour Harrington Cumbria April 2017. This view looking towards the old Head St Bees, West Cumbria with a brilliant Sun setting behind the Head in the Northern Sky, note; the faint outline on the Horizon to the extreme left of the Isle of Man March 2017. 'Light at the end of the Jetty' the setting sun casts it's magic over this beautiful tranquil evening scene taken from Waterhead, Ambleside overlooking the Lake, Windermere March 2017.

Many thanks as ever Jeff, I'm loving doing these type of shots, as you will have guessed Sunsets are a bit of a favourite of mine, mainly because me thinks i don't arise early enough in the mornings for a good sunrise [lol]
I particularly love good cloud effects mainly because each one is usually oh so different, I also love silhouette shots for good effect, so once again Jeff many thanks for all your kind comments take care & good shooting. Regards.....John.

Shafts of evening sunlight through the ominous cloud covering casting light onto the row-boats & Launch at their moorings in this atmospheric shot over Derwentwater, Keswick July 2017.
A similar shot with sunlight cascading through the evening cloud covering, this time over the Solway Firth looking toward Scotland to the right, with the Isle of Man to the left taken from high above Whitehaven August 2017. This rather stunning shot of the Piers Whitehaven kindly provided by my Wife Jan [Silvervixen] with the setting sun casting a lovely warm golden glow on the calm Solway Firth, September 2017 Taken from the same location as the previous pic, this rather dramatic silhouette shot of the Piers Whitehaven with the strong evening setting sun beaming the light directly between the Lighthouses on to the water adding atmosphere to this shot September 2017.

Golden clouds over golden sands in this shot With the Piers Whitehaven April 2018. The sun peaks out from a very ominous looking cloud effect above the shoreline Whitehaven casting a lovely warm glow over a pastel coloured sky & wet rippled sand April 2018.

Great pictures. It's amazing how different the same location looks. Once you get the bug it's hard to put the camera down. Sunsets and sunrises are in constant flux. Enjoyed them all.
