Default Can’t downshift to second gear

Ok so since I bought my ZT-T diesel manual in December last year it’s always been a bit of a pain to downshift into second gear, but now I can’t do it at all without sliding into first and then back to second.
Any idea where I should start looking in order to rectify this?

I did search quickly but couldn’t find anything, thanks.
I forgot to add that I did receive an invoice for the car having a new master, slave and clutch around this time last year.
But the day after I bought the car the linkage cables became disconnected from the gearbox end and I got stuck in first gear, so a local garage fitted some form of clamp to stop them coming loose again. Maybe the cables could be a good avenue to pursue

Worth checking the cable clamp isn't restricting the movement. If the cables check out then maybe a fault with the internal selector mechanism. Rare but not unheard of with these Getrag gearboxes.
