Jack, I would take what this man says with a big pinch of salt

He says he has a T4 (allegedly) does his "remaps" with some sort of cheap tool from Ebay (allegedly) and was sniffing around for a copy of the 160 upgrade

It's the half baked approach that this man appears to take, with scant regard to the consequences that will eventually lead to his downfall.

You can read into that whatever you please, but he will never be the recipient of any type of upgrade from me, Russ, or Phil.

The last thing we need is a loose cannon running around claiming to provide the "official" 160 upgrade, installed incorrectly using some cheap Chinese tat.

Imagine what that would do to the reputation of a well researched and planned out piece of coding, that was the result of many months of hard work

Am looking at a 160 remap though ,as I had a 131 and miss the torque.
Another thing,I've experimented with the 'snowflake' button and it seems to change up earlier, hence better mpg,,,,not very good at overtaking though.
Ken.
I'm heading to see Trikey in Barton on Humber in the not too distant future Ken

If you can't wait, Big Russ in Liversedge will be happy to arrange a 160 I'm sure

But others have had more out of them but I still downloaded the map of the ecu to keep just incase I ever got another diesel auto.

The diesel is not as economical as modern diesel units now and the gearboxs is not a Peugeot unit it's a BMW Getrag unit and more then happy to take extra power.
Dynamometer printout please.

Not that I expect to see one.

160 is a good amount for our cars - -plenty of power for day-to-day use.
Higher than 160? Sounds like whoever did it broke your car, not remapped it.

Sorry for posting in an old thread.. but, which one you 3 official 160 remap members live closest to Manchester?
Mostly I would like my car to have a T4 health check and diagnose my ABS issue. (Front sensors appear clean/new but I have no speedo/mileage and would like to see if it the bearings).
But moving forward, 160 remap.
Thanks in advance and again sorry for posting in an old thread.
This is what my search turned up.

Big Russ, a trader on here at Liversedge on the M62 near Huddersfield - the go to man on diesel ECU re-mapping and is a T4 Guru . He can do the remap it by post i believe.

I second the suggestion of Russ, he does a full health check, will reconfigure the EGR and can add or remove dealer options, just ask he knows them all by heart.

Rubbish. The turbo can't flow for that kinda power and the auto box is especially awkward on rolling roads, to the point they usually fudge the reduction drag setting to calculate the run off figures.
