Default here's one for you- Zaino

Both the mini ( pepper white solid, with black roof) and Black Olive ( black Olive metallic) are due a polish.

The Mini paint is in good condition, with no major swirls ( a few minor marks on the black) but Black olive is quite swirly and stonechipped- I think the previous owner used an automatic car scratcher, and spent a lot of time on the motorway.

been looking at cleanyour car , and am quite taken with the zaino range of products.

So for the mini, after claying, do I use Z2 sealant and Z5 polish, or just the sealant ?

likewise with Black olive I think it will need Z-PC wirl remover first, but do I need Z2 and Z5 or just Z2.

Or do I use something totally different ????

yours confusedly

A lot depends on how bad the swirling is. You may need a Swirl Remover first. Then a Polish. Finally a wax to enhance the shine & help protect it also.

This detailing lark can get expensive & time consuming!

Zaino works a bit strangely, and from what I've read, using a wax with it is at best redundant and at worst detrimental to the finish.

As I understand it, you'll need Z-AIO or Z-PC, then either Z-2 or Z-5, with Z-FX to allow multiple coats (recommended). Then to maintain it's either Z-6 or Z-8, depending on how often you intend to top up.

The Zaino stuff can give some great results, but is often best when used on a freshly machine polished surface.

If you're starting with an already swirled surface and working by hand rather than splashing out on getting it machine polished, I'd suggest you might be better off with SRP and a good wax, or maybe Bilt Hamber Autobalm, these should look good on both cars.

Or go the whole hog and get it professionally detailed, I know I would if I had a V8

Had a check, and things like this seem to say Z-2 for perfect paint, and Z-5 for swirly stuff.

Zaino is very strange. I'm not taken with it, had a play with some of the Z-5 and it didn't suit me to be honest!
