( Regarding DMGRS having only read good reports about them, there is a but, supposedly the best on the market as far as anyone can say.

With the statement above it would always be wise to contact DMGRS because they too had a bad batch of arms, therefore careful consultation with them would be the best way forward, i don't know what happened to that bad batch of arms ? maybe they would like to let us know.)

Hopefully you have the decent ones from a good batch.
The batch with issues turned out to be a bit of a non-event really - the problem was the hole where the rear bolt passes through was slightly uneven on a small number of arms and the welds on others were a little 'messy' for lack of a better term.

We specified during the design process that we wanted additional spot welds in certain areas - sometimes this put them a little too close to the edge of the arm than was ideal, so it wasn't the cleanest joint.
Still more than strong enough (as most of these were additional welds) and not something we were concerned about as the rest of the revisions to the arms made them the best built item out there.

As mentioned in the other post we've sold well over 1,000 pairs now, and we believe them to be the best out there. If there was a better alternative out there we'd stock them

Thanks for clearing that up Matt. Those which I have are still in the loft in the box they came in. They were bought so that if and when mine on the diesel needed replacing, they were waiting in the wings. If I had still been at work, I would have taken them and seam welded the edges which would have made them even stronger, and kept more water out. They have also been a good investment.I suppose the guarantee has run out now though Matt?
