Auto door lock
What needs to be done to get the doors to NOT auto-lock when moving off? Does it need T4 or whatever to change it?
Cheers

why do doors lock when a car is travelling?
Consider having single point entry activated. Only drivers door unlocks with first click of remote, rest of doors unlock with second click. macafee2 |

Its a T4 option called speed locking. Doors automatically lock when the car hits 4mph (I think).

They come on just rolling off the driveway. My manual says they should auto unlock again when the car has slowed to the same speed (2.5mph) It doesn't do that. I know I can use the centre console "unlock all doors" button, but even unlocking the car for the first time only unlocks the driver's door as well so I'd prefer to have it ALL stay unlocked after first opening the car. It gets a bit tedious with family trying to get in etc.
Thanks for the info Actually, I haven't tried the second click for unlocking all doors to get round the second issue, thanks.

It's just a shame when I'm pulling away it does the loud thump of the locks! I'll get used to it I suppose. I'll have to see what it does, I'll press the unlock button on the centre console after it's locked and hopefully they stay unlocked for the rest of the journey. And try the double key click to open all doors for getting into the car. The auto-lock just seems a bit unnecessary when there's rear childlocks if you want to keep kids from opening the doors and a lock button on the centre console if you want to lock the doors if you're scared of carjackers or weirdos when you're stationary...?
Other than that I love the car!
