Random Orbital Polisher
Hi Guys,
I have read thru the forum but thought I'd post this question just to check. Is a random orbital polisher the same as a dual action polisher. Is the disc offset from centre? Also is the random orbital polisher the safer option from the standard rotary polisher. I am a complete novice and am just wanting to give the car a quick polish and maybe remove a few swirl marks. I'm not a great detailing enthusiast so dont wanna spend lots of money. Cheers for your advice. Chris |

I cannot answer the question regarding the difference all I'll tell you is the dual action polisher I borrowed from wicksy_64 was really easy to use.
When I buy one I'll be getting a dual action one. You cannot do any hard with it and it made a heck of a difference to the shine.

Rotarys are normally for the pros as they give quicker results, useful if it is your living but in the wrong hands can damage your paint, dual action or random orbital are much better for the " amateur " polisher - see link below
