I think my message centre ( I have Ron'ds TU3B) readout must be the least accurate there is!
I regularly drive 100+ miles on the M1, at fairly unsociable hours, so it's usually quiet, and I zero the mssge centre MPG figure. With the cruise set at just under 80 (speedo) 73mph on the Garmin satnav, by the time I come off the m-way, the mssge centre readout is typically 78.4mpg. It soon reduces on A-roads. When I've brim-to-brimmed on these type of runs, ie 2-300 mainly m-way miles but some town roads, the highest I've had is 53. I'm happy with this in my 146000-miler 51 plate CDT. BTW John, the reason I haven't calibrated it is because I have been known to show off to Rover-doubting passengers: sometimes I come clean, sometimes I don't, it depends on the passenger......................... Mpg
I forgot to say that my CDT is an auto. With a Synergy 1
fitted I have read as high as 55.4 mpg and the difference between the brim to brim and the computer read out is within 1 mpg. If I used the increased performance more then I would expect that figure to drop considerably, you don't get something for nothing very often! |

The highest average mpg my car has got is 48 brim to brim, if it is driven above 70mph, the mpg drops down to the low 40's.

sorry for digging an oldish thread up but i'm getting 38-40mpg from my cdt with synergy 2 and manual box. this is the daily commute which is 28 miles. 9 miles town driving 19 miles motorway. is this right or is something amiss? I must admit though since getting the synergy i do have a weight problem in my right foot. but i do cruise at 70 on the mway.

My daily commute is approx 30 miles each way, mainly motor way and dual carriage way, I cruise at 70/75 and my computer tells me I get between 42 to 47, but mine is a manual tourer cdt, I,ve never bothered to work it out brim to brim, it seems to much like hard work to me, I know the computers aren't that accurate but it gives me something to play with during traffic jams, I admit though that mine has been remapped, and soon it's getting a ron box, I don't think Ardvark is doing bad to get these figures out of an Auto is he???
