Try M&G in Bradford? I know it's a bit of a hike but they are Rover/MG independent specialists, MGOC recommended and in the Good Garage Guide - check the GGG website for feedback. I've used them a few times now - most lately with HGF and they turned it around within 48hrs.

Oh Dear, im a new member on here and after buying a cheap 75 diesel connesier on E Bay I drove it home yesterday and noticed a few faults with it but not to worried about them as all things that can be sorted in time.
Went out in it today and parked up only to find it wouldn't start 30 min later.
I lifted the rear seat and found the sound deadening was swimming in diesel and the pump cover bolts were finger tight, after removing the cover I found the Pump retaining ring undone and the pump was wedged in place with some bits of wood. After some cursing I then banged the pump and the car then started and ran long enough to get me home. After switching it off it wouldn't go again until i disturbed the pump again so strongly suspect the in tank pump.
Any how the main purpose of this post is to point out that I have the fore mentioned car as I came across this post whilst searching for fuel pump faults, hopefully Mark manged to sort some of the other problems ,but he obviously gave up and put it on E bay ,never mind I didn't pay a lot for it and hopefully can sort most of the faults, just need the RAVE manual I bought to be delivered to do some research.
Paul.

Default hi

the cars are fine it is all about who has touched it before you owned it .once you had it sorted by someone that knows what they are doing then the rover 75 is just as reliable as any other car .

A shed full of sheds, an interesting thought!!!
Iv'e had my CDT for five months it has let me down 4 times in that period (lost clutch fluid) and like everyone else when I go out in it I wonder if I'm going to get back, I'm on first name terms with the AA man. Why, o why do I persevere with it? 'Cos I love it, my wife says I love it more than her, I strenuously deny this of course!!!!!
Have faith!

Could be worth taking to a dealer to put on the T4 diagnostic machine.
