Default Keycode for Radio

Probably a simple one, but my car was off the road for a while waiting for a part to be made and the battery died totally this obviously killed my radio, I've looked everywhere for the code with no success.....does anyone know if this is a simple thing to sort out?

Which radio do you have? The normal Kenwood in the ZT should not require a code Dave

I have the KRC 394 which I think is the std fitting with 6 disc changer.
Yours maybe an upgrade/ Are you sure that its the code that is required?
Mine loses all presets when battery disconnected but doesn't require a code.
Dave

PS what year is your car? I have a feeling that facelifts had the same Kenwood you have? Hang on for someone with the same unit as yours to give advice.
May be worth putting the question in the Ice forum as well? Dave

Its an 04 Dave.
Basically when I turn on the radio it simply says CODE 0000?
It won't let me do anything other than switch it off again.
Thanks for the advice Dave most appreciated.

Some owners have actually found the codes for their radios written on the casing. The only other alternative is to get the code from an xpart centre, you will need to prove ownership I guess, or there are people on the internet who will supply codes. I would check prices from both.
Someone else who has your model may well give some more answers this evening. Sorry couldn't help more Dave
