Are these batteries not designed, only to deep cycle?
I dont know a lot about batteries but this just does not seem that it would work to me.

I'll update the case with the performance results from the deep cycle battery, worth trying at least as I have used up a number of batteries so far.

Lovel

Had exactly the same problem with mine, kept putting it on charge but never held up long.

In October I fitted a ABXAGM AX 570 760 from Performance Batteries. Most of my driving is short runs, but since fitting this the charger has never been needed. Google the name and have a look at their website. The battery I mentioned has a 5 year warranty.
