Default Help - oil leak after cleaning out EGR

Yesterday took the EGR off to clean it, no probs.

Spotted oil on drive tonight where it had been standing - drivers side just in from the wheel.

Took engine cover off, a bit of oil in fuel rail mopped it up checked connections all seem Ok.

Still dripping though so put a box underneath to see how much- what's happened? any ideas.

Did you get to the bottom of this Stubs? The oil filter is on the drivers side, so is drain on the sump. Seems like a coincedence to me?

Deffo not coming from the the dipstick area and not from front where the oil filter is. As stated oil in the fuel rail area which possibly indicates the PCV filter so replaced at lunchtime today but also had the left hand acoustic cover bolt missing and the rubber grommet from this side and on the back of acoustic cover the sponge was seriously covered in oil it looked like the oil was coming up through this fixing hole - if that possible.

So I took one of the other grommet and bolts off the front fixing and used it to for this one.

Have left some card under card to see if still leaking.

Default leak

Yes, it is possible for that hole, when left without cover bolt, to spray some oil outside...

just an update, mimimum drips this morning after PCV change, could be residue in the undertray. Leave it a few days and see what happens.
