Default inoperative fan/AC compressor damage

keith and others alluded to the pressure on ac compressor when fan is unable to perform its speed 1, thru brush wear. My question - if one follows religiously "no AC use unless car is moving", is there any other damage/wear that could result from this strategy?

I think you will find the Trinary switch is designed to cut in long before the pressure in the system rises to anything that might overload the compressor so as long as the high speed fan is working it will at least work most of the time

Only real downside is if the compressor is working that much harder then the fuel consumption may also suffer
