Default Owd Nells pub experiment, adults meal v kids meal

went for a meal yesterday afternoon with the family at a pub/resteraunt that we have been using for17 years or so. each time we go the prices creep up, currently for a burger and chips with salad it's £7.75, large portions tho and the burgers are home made, all home fresh cooked food. quality place.
Any way.
I have started to wonder weather the £40 per meal is worth it (for four inc drinks), ok some will say thats cheap, but i dont think it is, but, the meals are very good.
ANY WAY, yesterday i decided to experiment, in the past, wifey and i have discussed that fact the childs meals (which are £3.99) are the same size as the adults, but they come with or without beans or garden peas, so i had a childs burger and chips with........salad, i asked if they would put salad instead of beans or peas, they did, the resulting meal was the same product as the adults meal, so saved my self around £4 for the same meal. so that what i will be having in the future
