![]() It is with great disappointment I am having to sell my P6.
I bought this as a non runner to replace another vehicle and have done lots to it to make it work.. Rebuilt the carbs, balanced the carbs, fitted an electric pump, replaced the water pump * rerouted the under bonnet fuel line ** It is not without its faults, I will try and list them all here.. Fuel gauge doesn't work, the floor carpets have been replaced with nasty green house carpet, there is a clunk from the o/s/r that has only just started that seems to be when applying power. The throttle shaft bushes have gone awol and as a result means the kickdown cable is slack. This means at very light throttle settings at low speed it clunks into top. I believe this is the cause anyway. I think the fuel tank could do with draining as over a period of a few hundred miles the fuel filter gets restricted. Blowing it out backwards cures the problem. It could do with door repairs and a respray. *When I replaced the water pump three bolts snapped.. (alloy engine, steel bolts.. ![]() **The fuel pipe I manufactured is made from steel. The car was suffering from extreme fuel vapourisation when I got it, owing to the fact the fuel line runs under the exhaust manifold. I made one from steel and routed it well away along the inner wing. I'm sure its fine but I would be inclined to tidy it at some point. I have been driving it daily for a bit now and have done a few miles including long motorway runs. It drives nicely, I would say. ![]() ![]() If you read my forum idiot thread you will find some comments I have made and also if you ever read the Rover Classics forum you will see some of my threads about the car. I believe this is a good thing.. see the oil flow.. http://s841.photobucket.com/albums/z...t=deefb80f.mp4 Long MOT and tax. £1300

![]() Cheers. I don't really want to sell it but I need to. Kind of backed into a corner.

![]() Thanks. It is a lovely car. I need to get rid of at least one though. In hindsight, I shouldn't have really bought it.

![]() Clunk has been identified as a drive shaft. I have purchased a driveshaft and will be fitting this when time allows.
So, with a bit of luck, the clunk will be cured.. £1100 or near offer.
