I still don't care i have lived my life as my mum and dad brought me up and yes i was smacked, at school i was belted and i was scared of my elders and anyone with authority. To a certain extent i still am, i have done good in my life and i am only 46 how does it all gone wrong in such a few years?

No they aren't, the best people to deal with riots are the police, in equipment and training, it's their job.

Unfortunately that's not true. One of the biggest job creation schemes can be found in over-controlled states. They are usually called Secret Police, but their function is the same: to make sure everybody does as they're told and to root out those that don't so they can be 'dealt with', usually by means of imprisonment, torture and killing ...... now why hasn't someone here come up with a good idea like that?

But, it is just escalating now isn't it... How many cities now..... The police cannot cope in my opinion, I am not knocking them, I just do not think that this type of thing is their job.... Thousands and thousands of officers... And that is just in London... What about all the other crime that will now take place regarding this smoke screen.... Who is going to deal with that.?

I'm 60, was institutionalised at the age of 11, received the same sort of treatment you describe, but still managed to grow up thinking for myself, not how anyone else taught me. The world needs to learn and move on, not hanker to live in the good old days of the past, which never were, incidentally.
