Rover 75 2.5 Connoisseur SE Auto (2003)
With much regret I am now looking to sell my 75, preferably to another club member who will appreciate it for what it is. There's absolutely nothing wrong with the car, but I've owned it for quite a few years now and fancy a bit of a change if I'm honest. I just hope I'm not making a big mistake here.
Rover 75 2.5 V6 Connoisseur SE (Auto) 2 owners from new Full Service History & all receipts 110,000 miles MOT January 2012 Finished in Royal Blue metallic with Sandstone leather interior, which is really in excellent virtually unmarked condition throughout. I regularly treat the leather, so there's no cracking or obvious wear. I won't list the full spec but options/highlights include: Hi-Line Instrumentation with basic Navigation System (not the TV!) I have detailed map CDs for the UK and France Electric/Heated Seats Six-disc CD Autochanger Parking Sensors Auto-dip mirror and rain sensing wipers Cruise Control Warning Triangle I can't fault its reliability and any repairs that have been needed I've always attended to promptly, most recently a new thermostat housing. All the belts were changed by Lates on schedule a couple of years ago. The most recent service was 28th January this year. I bought the car from SMC in High Wycombe in January 2007 after quite a long search - I'm rather fussy and getting this specification and colour combination in the sort of mileage and condition I wanted at the time took some finding! And no regrets, it's been a fantastic car especially for touring holidays on the continent. I really, genuinely am going to miss it. There is tax to the end of this month on the car, but beyond the end of next week I'll have to SORN it if it isn't sold because the insurance will be transferred to my new car. Having put a lot into the car I'm not giving it away, so I've advertised it at £1,995 elsewhere which I think reflects its overall condition... but for club members there may well be a bit of haggle room. Any questions feel free to email/PM me or ask on here. Oh, and the car is in Haslemere, Surrey. Thanks Jonathan Last edited by Jonathan; 27th July 2011 at 21:27.. |

Ah... did I say I wanted some money for a Rover?
Tax is up at the end of next week. This is still available and I'm open to negotiation, within reason. Top spec, 2 owners, full history... |

I think that's low-line satnav not hi-line.
Good luck with the sale |

Right, it's now £1995. And rather less room for haggling.

Unbelievably, I'm still selling this lovely car. Not a single enquiry from any source in 2 months
I'll now consider offers over about £1200, much below that and with regret guess I'll have to start selling bits. |

Unfortunately as nice as your car is the V6s are commanding very low money...
At £1200 you should get a bit more interest, but economically you would be better off keeping it 20mpg or not! |

Very true, I've been surprised by the premium diesels seem to be commanding over the V6 these days even though they're not really my cup of tea.
It's not the economy that worries me - I can just about average a respectable 30mpg in the 75 and I'm now driving something thirstier. Much as I'd love to keep it though, I simply have more cars than I can afford to run or have space for now. I hate seeing a perfectly good car parked outside gathering dust. |

Yu could try other sources elsewhere. My CDTi - had no luck here, now it is back with the MG dealer I bought it from and up for grabs again at 3999. I am not hopeful for a sale but am trying to stay positive. Be lucky!

Good luck with the sale, Gate Keeper. It's the usual thing - I'd imagine most on here already have a 75/ZT and don't need another!
Have now done what I really wanted to avoid and resorted to ebay: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1706879604...84.m1558.l2649 |
