Perhaps if the car has a way of fixing the spare(Like other ZT's) then perhaps it has to be fixed, Otherwise it's OK to leave it loose.
I'll ask about this when my car goes for it's MOT, Just out of curiosity. |

I've just collected my car from having its MOT, I asked the examiner about checking the spare wheel. He said that they can only advise on the condition of the tyre. It does not matter if the wheel is loose(The rest of the wheels have to be secure though!)
