Hi Arctic!
Loving this mod! I've got handbrake trouble, and will be checking my compensator next weekend, as time is tight at the moment. I've just fitted new shoes to the rear hubs, as one of the shoes had shed it's friction material completely! I've tried adjusting the handbrake from the hubs first, and then from the lever mechanism, and have over 35mm of thread showing in front of the nut (about the same as before changing the shoes and discs, etc). From this, I'd say that either the cables are stretched to oblivion, or the compensator is! Can you give me a price for one of your modded compensators please? Thanks in advance! |

Handbrake mod
Mod done but it took me 50 minutes just to bend the flippin carpet back!
If you are worried about dropping the little clip which stops the front cable from disengaging I suggest that you securely tie a length of cotton to it so that you can fish it back out of the innards if sods law makes you drop it! Old one posted back today Steve. Three clicks and happy. |
