Porridge for me - need to get up into my loft to do some tidying/sorting out, and since we put inches of insulation down, there's none of the house's warmth gets up there, so I'll be freezing my bits off.
Also need to get the Rover washed before Sunday's Tam Memorial Meet at Carter Bar - another freezing job - wonder if SWMBO is feeling helpful
My next door neighbour updated the loft insulation but failed to improve the lagging on the water pipes in the loft. A pipe burst in the cold weather flooding the whole house and causing major damage. Peeps need to make sure their pipes are properly lagged to cope with the extra cold up there...

Good point Andy - I'll check that whilst I'm up there looking for the hidden stash of use fivers

They charge me £5 & I give them £6. It brings just the faintest hint of a smile & all their colleagues remove their hands from their inside Jacket pockets!

..... East Europeans - SWMBO - not a lot of difference there then

Assuming the weather forecast is OK for Sunday, I'll need your pork pie order by 0900 Saturday morning George

I installed a cheapo temp reader in my loft and on bitter nights I checked it before bed.

If it dropped to plus one I opened the loft hatch to let warm air rise into the loft space.

I bet Jeff's loft never freezes - all that warm air from the sprouts rising upwards

I fear there could be excessive air pollution hovering over the England - Scotland Border on Sunday
