Good morning Derek. On the way back from Margate yesterday, I called into the hospital last night to visit a mutual friend. He has gone downhill and looked poorly again. The ward wasn't very nice, it was noisy and had very few comforts, the nurses were fully stretched and overworked. I plan to visit later today. I am hoping the docs and nurses work on him and can improve his situation, so that he is strong enough to have a fighting chance and start treatment next week.

What a glorious late Summer's day - bright sunshine, warm verging on hot. Where was this weather when we were getting wet in Cornwall in June?

NINE of us for late Sunday lunch at 4.00pm today - there's half a pig in the slow cooker

Evenin' all, It's been a nice day today (Derek you were right! after the fog cleared the sun came out) The missus is back from Preston & they have some strange pets there! The missus said she was stopped at traffic lights in Preston when a car pulled along side & sitting on the passenger seat was a small Emu with an harness & lead

Lancashire... my home! I feel more at home in Leyland than I do where I was released. So I have to say "Born in Kent; made in Leyland"...
