on the plus side, my wife's V6 now gets a full set of HK speakers minus the sub. Unless anyone has an hk sub enclosure going cheap to tempt her

very sporting of you sir!
I've noticed they are the only bit that distorts at high volume - i never noticed it before i put the rainbow bass drivers in the sub. The fronts did it too. Can't be good for the poor things, I'm being kind really....

re blasser mdf mounts
Hi guys, just for info. Blasser only make front mdf mounts even though the piccy shows a front and rear. Why they do not do rears I cannot say..bit silly if you ask me..(please don't).

Can I ask please, what is the point of these speaker rings? After reading the whole thread I don't get it. I understand that if fitting different size speakers one needs step or step down rings, but I thought direct replacement speakers just screwed in? I will be replacing my speakers shortly (probably with the Infinity Reference ones that Coolcat sells), so it would be handy to know if I need rings such as these.
Thanks, Ali.

This (should) help improve the sound quality over the plastic door pods that are fitted as standard

Those speaker brackets from Nasser are not contoured, but he says they fit no probs. I have just had mine delivered, speakers here tomorrow hopefully, so I will let you know.
These brackets mimic the original shape, they are actually made in 3 sections - I am sure a jigsaw and fine cut blades could do the job - or if you have a router it would be a doddle...I'll knock some templates up and see what's what with a jigsaw, then a trip to my bruv and his router... If you want photo's of original MDF ones ( not my shoddy efforts to be) drop me a pm. All I need to do is find me cambra..
