I remember Potter Heigham the last time I had a holiday on the Broads - I chickened out and let one of the pilots take the hire boat under it

The water level was too high yesterday even with our screen and canopy down so we didn't attempt it

The boat journey from our mooring near Acle to Potter Heigham was about 45 minutes........so about 4 miles I guess

I'm sure you and Zed wouldn't mind a punt down the river to the pub for a spot of lunch perhaps

Well all those pictures brought some very strong memories back, so I'm off tomorrow for a few days to a b&b 6 miles from potter heigham. Dragging my daughter along so i'll keep an eye out for you! Itinerary is Potter heigham for lathams naturally, Horning to show her where she was conceived, a cruise on the southern comfort paddle boat and maybe see if Roy still owns most of Wroxham. Then hopefully if the sun is shining a quick paddle in the sea at Hembsy. Might even see if the boatyards are still there at martham and show her the little humpback bridge i did a dukes of hazzard on one night in a mini countryman estate, I'm sure I put a dent in the roof of it where my head it when i inadvertently took off one night at high speed when i forgot about that bridge!
