Evening all - I am now safely set up in the middle of The New Forest on a site with no real shade - so you can imagine the heat when the thermometer is reading 31 degrees :'(
The local deer tend to wander around the site at night - so you have to be very careful where you put your feel first thing in the morning.

Not to my knowledge Ian.
What a fiasco at the fair!, we queued for an hour in searing heat 1/2 mile from the car park entrance, when we eventually got there, they wouldn't let traffic turn right into the ground, instead forcing all fair goers to drive another half mile up the road to a busy roundabout on a main road.
It was utter chaos, the whole roundabout was blocked with morons just ignoring the highway code and blocking the roads, nothing could get in either of the four directions. No Police on duty, when we eventually got to the gate, I said to the council official on duty, that there should have been signs for the traffic at the motorway to follow a one way system for the car park. or at least have a sign saying no access to Hoppings car park. Previous years we have been and got in no bother turning right, if they had someone on duty directing traffic one side at a time, there would have been no queues. I also said to the man on the gate that he should get some Police to the roundabout, as it was utter chaos, he said there were loads of officers present on the moor, but no one would go and sort thee traffic out. Disgraceful, not doing their job, just because they didn't want to stand in the road in the heat likely! didums, that what you get paid for.

Good morning Derek, another scorcher of a day here as well , I just love this fine weather . I'm going to give the car a quick wash later, take a few bit's of rubbish down to the tip and then it's motorbike time .
