Pulled the window/mirror switch out and gave it a very quick clean using a pencil eraser on the contacts. Refitted and I can now adjust the mirrors!
Waiting for some isopropyl alcohol to arrive before pulling it again for a more thorough job. |

Not a brilliant photo but had the Tom Hobbs sill repair panel welded in locally today. Will paint this myself when the weather warms up a bit. He looked at the rest of the underside and said nothing else needs doing.

Today I fitted my Brodit phone holder that I purchased from Rick-sta on here.
I have attached an Apple MagSafe charger to it to hold my iPhone and charge it while driving |

I started doing the belts and T-stat on my ZT-T190 today.
Good Lord! The last guy to do the job was either Arnold Schwarzenegger or there was a girl in the shop he was trying to impress. Maybe both! It's all apart now but I had to use every trick in the book to get those bolts undone. BTW: Thanks to Mrs. RIV for buying me the cordless impact gun for Christmas! It goes back together next week.

As part of my quest to eliminate buzz and vibration from the cdti's cabin I changed the front exhaust rubbers for heavy duty versions. While under there I noticed that some of the heat shield fixings were wearing through, so a couple of penny washers sorted that. First driving impressions are that the worst buzz has gone.
As an aside I used my new plastic 2 piece ramps, which worked really well. I've always been nervy getting up the metal versions but these are wide, shallow and no ridges, piece of cake! Downside is they aren't quite as tall. As my drive has a bit of a slope I end up with a fairly level car, and will use them to fit the 3 engine mounts when they arrive. I still used stands and chocks, belt and braces and all that. Pics attached of ramps, finished job and old v new rubbers. Sent from my moto g(30) using Tapatalk
