Did you do the big bush or both on the lower mount?

Hi Chris.
Thank you for the feed back this is what we need to know, so over a good period of time we can judge the mounts and how they perform checked the one on mine recently also and still as good as the day it was fitted Arctic.

That might be the cause of the vibration then, it's recommended to only do the large bush

Fitted the larger mount this weekend (newer powerflex design) and whilst it's cured most of my running problems (jerkiness @ pull off, difficult gear change) it ain't half vibey on tickover, a hell of a lot so.

Can't really compare it to the old one as I feel that was shot and free floating for a long time;

Still at least the mount got a clean up whilst it was off

Assuming you have a CDT, (your profile just says 2.0) I would NEVER fit a Powerflex mount to a CDT, for the very reasons that you state, as it ruins the car!

Manufacturers spend £££ MILLIONS on NVH, for someone to replace their carefully researched and tested mount, with a bit of plastic and expect it to be as good as the original!

For that reason, I would only fit an OE mount on a CDT!

Hi Jeff.
Also check the lower wish bone bushes are not torn or split or at least starting to too, I would also change the centre insert of the power flex and insert your original one with the nylon centre as in pic below cheers Arctic.

PS as Mark states I am sure that the original mount will always be better, but if the power flex is set up with the original centre and every thing else is ok not out of line etc the power flex should give you no trouble mine is ok,

I have two original mounts and I am still running on the power flex and intend to do so to see how long it will last before I feel it needs changing
