just to pick up the last few questions:

the e bay price is not for our members, e mail Simon direct tell him you are a member of this club and a set is £50 plus £10 postage from Bulgaria

he will do individual pieces you need to e mail him for a price, again tell him you are a member here to get a better deal

the colour is a much much better match than the walnut dash, although its your money so you takes your choice, traditional walnut is browner in colour wheras the Rover walnut has a hint of red in it which is what Simon has been working on, i have been delighted with mine

the unit i have fitted in the car is an Xtrons face off with satnav, on e bay from seller Silvertech, i am about to get a freeview box for mine also from the same seller.

I have just sent over a front light unit for Simon to design a walnut cover for
and have received some samples of his chrome switch surrounds today, thay look really good, will get them fitted asap and take some pics when i will also confirm what they cost.

As i have said before i have nothing to do with Simons business in a commercial sense, but he has been a great find because he is semi retired and therefore by his own admission has the time to design new items, his service is excellent

That's the baby I am waiting for. Wondered if Simon could make some walnut hoops to cover the two light switches on the rear interior light?

It would look so much nicer with the hoops walnut covered

IMO, the fit is a freshwater fish (Carp).

I have the Walnut dash one, and have ordered a new symphony plate from Simon. He has more than one 'no holes' version requested.

Someone asked about removing the symphony by removing the ATC first. I actually start by opening the cupholder or cigar lighter and remove the switch panel or blank. Then I can remove the ATC cover and then the ATC unit. Means I'm OK having no slots in the walnut, and I don't need to obtain the tools.

It was me that asked. I tried the approach described above, and the ATC cover seemed to need a scarily strong pull to release the bottom clips, so I chickened out for fear of breaking it. Probably just pulling in the wrong place I guess.

Simon has now aded the release holes, so it's no longer an issue for me - I made my own set of release tools from an old Barclaycard!

 I contacted Simon who is looking into making up walnut hoops for the rear interior light unit switches, which I think would finish the kit off nicely.

Can't wait for the front interior light pieces, should look ace

I've just received (and fitted) my new Symphony cover from Simon - very pleased with both the fit and finish (pics don't really do it justice):

Very good gear from Simon. Looking forward to the front light surrounds.

 Just Like Teflon, my new Symphony piece arrived this morning via recorded delivery. Here's a before and after shot as a comparison.....

I was never particularly happy with the mass of black plastic on show and the thin walnut borders on the original kit.....

The new piece from Simon looks so much better in my opinion, and I'm a happy bunny. The original piece took a lot of work to remove, so good was the glue, and the resin actually separated from the walnut, which was a shame as I hope to use it for other places

Update for all you walnut fans !

I have some chrome surrounds, will fit tomorroe and post up some pics

Simon now has the front light switch i sent over and is redesigning some walnut for it, i say redesign because he already had a first attempt done from pictures which he is not happy with - so watch this space

Rear light button surrounds - he will be onto those next.

For anyone that has a double din with BMW E46 facia, please note that myself Eamonn and Raistlin have the E46 and they are all slightly different in size, Simon has made one for me and Eamonn and is currently making one for Paul, so there will be 3 alternatives. I will be getting some templates which i can send members for a test fit but if you cannot wait that long make sure you send the exact measurements of your facia when ordering one of this type

The above pics of the new facias look great by the way
