Today I cut out the MDF floor subwoofer hole, placed the MDF in position and started cutting the boot carpet into shape.

From this...

to this...

Although my boot is not as deep now, and I no longer have a spare tyre etc, I have gained some nice deep side pockets to keep items in securely with the offcuts of the carpet sitting in the bottom...

Quite pleased, and the stereo sounds great now...Its not finished but there is not much left to do.

Red face Scrapyard Visit

I love scrapyards - have found some great Land Rover bits in my local one previously. Never really looked at 75 & ZTs before but now I have one...

Thought I'd see if they had anything useful & there were 2 ZT's (V6 Tourer & CDTI saloon) plus a 75 (also several ZSs & ZRs)! Shame to see so many gone forever, but hopefully they'll help others live on!

Couldn't get more details or a decent picture of the 75 as it got put on top of the stack soon after I arrived (& I wasn't going to ask them to get it down just for a photo).

Not such a good deal as I've had before on Land Rover parts but I'm pleased enough. I've had the wheels & a few odd bits, like what was left of tool kits - as luck would have it they took the same locking wheel bolt 'key' as mine

They're at A1 Car Spares near Wokingham if anyone else could do with parts.

The ZT looks like it could be Chagall, which is a great pity, if so!

where as normal lights just have a reflector in the back the projectors have a lens at the front like a fish eye...

these are projectors...

Xenon or HID use a brighter, more intense form of light which many (including myself) prefer..
