Going to have to take Pops to the vet tomorrow. She was having a bit of chasing/rough and tumble with Maya and she's caught her dew claw on something. Its sticking straight out and was bleeding heavily but that seems to have stopped now. Tried to bandage it but she wasn't having any of it, won't let me touch her foot.

Oh dear Steve, that’s not what you needed, the dew claw can be difficult to deal with too!

Aw! poor pops, hope the vet ca take care of it. our jack Russell ripped one of her claws almost out many moons ago, wouldn't let me go anywhere near it but the vet took it off with little fuss.

When I got Suzy I was aware she didn't like big dogs. Had her and Pops out one day when a big, daft, black Lab came bounding up looking to play. Suzy took off, thankfully even though I hadn't had her long she ran to the garden gate but in the process she ripped one of her nails off. Had her at the vet and she ended up with a bandage like a boxing glove.

Suzy is an absolute angel, the sweetest, gentlest dog I've ever had. I'm her third owner(!), the woman I got her from didn't want to part with her but Suzy is so afraid of big dogs that she'll go for them, obviously something has happened in her past. Her owner shared a back yard with a neighbour who had big dogs and Suzy had already gone for one of them, luckily the big dog was so surprised it didn't really retaliate! She said Suzy was a mess when she got her, from a woman who "just wanted rid of her!" She was neglected, her hair was overgrown and matted, nails overgrown, took her hours to patiently clip all the matts out. There was one good thing that came out of it, became close friends with her previous owner, it was her who gave me Maya after wee Abbey passed away.

The other two, Pops is a bit more delicate than Suzy but she's sweet as well, bit feisty with it though. As for Maya, she's still a pup and daft as a brush!

Evening all,

Been out today photographing a dance competition in Walton on the Naze.

Cream Crackered now

Got some Hunters chicken cooking in the oven which I'll have with some rice as I'm starving as well

Glad Pops is all sorted out Steve....I'm sure it will be much less painfull in the morning for her.
