Trouble is due to budget cuts actual police officers are very thin on the ground. The way all the emergency services are being stretched is ridiculous, look at that recent incident where an elderly woman in Devon fell and broke her hip. Her son travelled 200 miles from London by bus, tube and two trains and arrived before the ambulance which turned up SEVEN hours after the initial call

If my lad had been doing that, and the ball hit someone else's car or caravan, I would have taken it off him, and apologised to the car owner, then told him to go and play with the ball somewhere well away from cars and caravans.

Catch you all tomorrow. I think I did too much today, cutting back an overgrown forest path this morning and then brushing the sides of the pool this afternoon in the heat. I am going to call it a day and watch the news, catch a movie.

Been down to the pound stretcher store for some grow bags, 3 for a fiver so I got a tenners worth, bargain. knocking up some grilled rainbow trout & a cauliflower cheese bake for tea Some par boiled carrots/swede/broccoli topped with sliced potato & cauliflower in a cheddar cheese sauce.

Evening all, had a half day today's its half term, myself and the family went out for a meal with my mother and aunt, which was jolly nice. Now what's for tea, I'm hungry already.

Went to 3 different garages specialising in wheel refurbishment. Redfive’s wheels are getting really bad, well two of them. At the end of the day it will be cheaper to buy new.
Had 2 offers to think about, both are swaps. One is a set of 11 spokes but no tyres. The second offer is for a set of refurbished Apexes complete with tyres for my 4 wheels complete with tyres. Had a drive across Dartmoor, weather was really nice so ended up at Castle Drogo. The Castle was closed as it is be rebuilt but the gardens were open. Drove home and gave Redfive and Banana a wash. Going up to Matt’s tomorrow to deliver some goodies for Matt’s Dad.

Deary me! I have the job of putting a new collar & name tag on our one cat that goes out occasionally (she lost the old on ) , I need gauntlets! you would think I was trying to kill her as soon as she saw it she was off, I'm not chasing her I'll bide my time until she wants to go out and waits by the back door.

Our Marriage Milestone
Tomorrow, 22 February 1964, 55 years ago, at 11.30AM, we were married, I do not know where the years have gone, we have argued over money and children we have fought, but for all our ups and downs we have come through smiling and hand on heart I can honestly say neither one of us would have changed anything. Dawn is the strength in our marriage, but in every relationship we have learned to give and take, and the most important thing is to say sorry when you are in the wrong. We have nine Granchildren and our two boys (Men) one of 52 and one of 49 have never ever given us trouble and for that We are very proud of them. Rev |
