Hmm, a frustrated update from me...

A few days ago, I went to a body shop to get a quote on a little scuff at the bottom of my bumper. I parked on a very shallow incline, pulled the handbrake up, and went inside.

Next thing I know a guy is running towards my car shouting, and I see it very slowly rolling forward...! Just as I get to it, it met the edge of the bodyshop, having rolled a maximum of 1 metre, going very slowly.

This was the resulting damage:

I must have not pulled the handbrake up far enough! So so so annoyed. At least there was no damage to the building.

The bumper should be an easy repair, as it was that side that needed sorting anyway, but I need a new wing. The bodyshop said they could fix it, but it'll be much cheaper getting a new PBT wing. If anyone knows of one, my search up to this point has been fruitless.... Please let me know!

Also, after a couple of days of the bump, this greeted me:-

Gggrrrrrrrr, another problem. I've never had this happen in almost a year of owning it, so after checking the rubber caps were all in place at the back of the light, I figured it must have been damaged in the bump too.

Getting the front bumper off has become one of those jobs that I'd built up in my mind as too much, especially as I don't have my own garage/drive etc, just a bit of land away from my house.

But today I wanted to get this light sorted, mainly as I didn't want to buy a new one, or let it get any worse, as there was already a few cm's of water in the bottom!

So I started... Within not very long at all I was at this stage:-

Excellent! No where near as demanding as I thought it would be.

Upon removing the headlight, I was greeted with this:-

No wonder it was filling up with water!

I took the rubber caps off, got the hairdryer out, and sat drying it out for about 15 mins. Pretty much every drop had cleared up then. Next was to sort the crack, I thought about a few options, but decided on this:-

Silconed it up. But I wanted to be doubly sure, so left it to get touch dry, then followed up with this:-

That should do it!

So I went from this... To this!

Then after a few more minutes aligning up all of the screws etc., I had my car back, with a dry front end!

Do you know I've actually forgotten! I think they're available from ebay or Rimmers though. They do make such a difference.
