Default Metro Centre Meet

Lee

Thanks for organising yesterday. Enjoyed the meet, and was nice to see some new faces. Hopefully this will take off, and more members will attend.

Also thanks to Ady for posting up pictures, and hopefully you can get your motor back on the road, ready for the next meet.

I will be attending the MG Northern Nationals (run by MG Harrogate) on Sunday 7 August 2011 at Patley Bridge. I think that other makes of cars are allowed to attend. Will ask if the Rover 75 and MG ZT Club can have a club stand next year, but if anybody wants to attend, just send them an email to:

[email protected]

Hopefully, will win something at the concours event with my MGF. Will be spending the next three weeks getting her ready for the show

Where abouts in Pateley Bridge Stu? The In-laws have a caravan down there which we sometimes (ab)use. Is it the field just over the little bridge - Rugby Club or something?

Might be worth a visit depending on what the aforementioned inlaws are doing, though no promises

Don't know if anyone is still reading this thread.

Just to let everyone from the Durham and Metro Centre meets, I've done all the things all of you suggested (and a bit more while it was in bits). Changed the PCV this morning, air filter, diesel filter, oil filter and oil, O rings, de-gunged the EGR. Just been for a test drive.

Hell, I've got a new car here. Absolutely amazing.

Took only 3hrs to do the lot including cleaning out the EGR.

Thanks to everyone for their advice and suggestions. God only knows if a garage would have found the real cause which was the O rings and PCV. I don't think the PCV had ever been changed, it was half an inch think and solid. You've all saved me a fortune. Don't think I need the in-tank pump now.

Thanks again.

Bob
