Cool

Morning fellow early risers.

Very mild here, no rain in the night. But it is a tad grey out there.

Hoping to venture into town today in search of some modelling paint for my next project.

Morning all, a lovely sunny start to the day with blue skies, not been outside yet to see how cold it is though, I had enough of that yesterday.

Morning Bob, thank you for your good wishes about Jessica and my health. The vascular unit in Bristol which monitors my aneurysms, because of Covid cancelled elective surgery but replaced it with a “hot” clinic for dealing with emergencies. We just have to hope I can hold out until the elective surgery is restored. In December the abdominal aortic aneurysm measured 4.5 cm x 5.67 but the surgeon said it can wait as it’s borderline elective. I am not in any pain or anything, apart from that I am keeping active. 3 weeks ago, I stopped sugar, chocolate and eating biscuits - efforts to keep my weight down.

How are you?

Morning, hard frost here as well, everything white. Took some stuff out to the bin but that ain't happening, frozen shut. Kitchen duties later, making a cauldron of soup for me other half, put it into containers and she takes it to work.

Wrists have flared up again, eased off a couple of days after I mentioned them last time. Been nagging something rotten for a couple of days. Can't fill the kettle, too painful to lift it, struggling with the milk, one of those huge 6 pint containers.

Telly was so naff last night ended up binge watching something from my youth, Sapphire and Steel from 1979, been recording it on Forces TV. Special effects are a bit dated but a young Joanna Lumley makes up for it!

Morning folks - bah gum, it's been a pretty cold night. There's so much white frost on the cars you'd think it had been snowing. A joint of beef is sitting in the slow cooker - should be ready by about 2.00pm after it's been browned off in the oven

Nice and sunny here today, but still very chilly.

I have been busy, Roast Pork (Loin) in the oven, all the veg prepared for todays dinner

Years ago I would be off to the local bakers for a bag of Dumplings to go with the Sunday Dinner, but will have to make do with Yorkshire Puds,or what my Nan called "Egg Pudding"
,
Then the shellfish van would pull up, the Fishmonger would ring his bell and we would all be out to buy ,Cockles,Winkles and Shrimps for tea, happy days

Morning all,

From floods to frost here.

Much better to walk on than the WW1 re-enactment I've been trudging through for the last few days.

Now overcast and +1 degree although strangely it doesn't feel that cold. Due to stay pretty much as it is for the rest of the day.

Home made ham and leek (about to be pulled up out of the garden) pie for later.

Take care.

Chopping a load of hard veg for the soup wasn't one of my better ideas
