Good that the meds have kicked in and lifted you a bit Rich. I know how wearing tiredness can be, I rarely sleep well, usually wake up feeling as if I haven't slept! Takes me a long time to get to sleep in the first place and I wake up several times.

Its lovely here now, heavy sleet.

Thank you Richard for clarifying about your medication and for being open. You might be surprised to know I used to be on Propranolol, a beta blocker for panic attacks when I worked in the NHS. I had a problem of experiencing a feeling of stage fright when ever I had to give a case presentation to an audience of peers and consultants of around 200 plus in the auditorium at the Royal Free. It was how we learned and how others could give a differential diagnosis, it was to do with safe practices and standards. I used to hate it. Eventually I faced up to my demons and through a process known as ‘flooding’, I got professional help and overcame my fears. At the same time, I gradually reduced the dosage of the beta blockers until I was able to come off them completely. What I didn’t like was the side effects of slowing my speech down and having cold hands, but I became quite skilled of talking in public without the need of the pills

Beta blockers and antidepressants are useful treatments and tools, but so is being able to talk through a problem even if it feels hopeless.

Remember you are not alone. All your mates here Richard have reached out to you.

Morning all, I wonder what today will bring?

Yesterday I received an email from UK.gov updating travel regulations, only essential travel allowed and not for a holiday break. We are to self isolate for 10 days and to give details of our journey from the airport to the home. We are hoping to be able to visit the UK in May/June for the summer depending on the restrictions. I have had to SORN the 75 as I could not get its MOT done by its due date, apart from that it remains off road in safe and secure storage.

We rent out a ground floor flat in Margate in a private owner sheltered block. Yesterday we had an email from the agent, telling us water was pouring through the ceiling from the flat above. The flat above is owner occupied. Basically we asked the agent to send in a contractor to go in and arrange emergency repairs.

Time for a cuppa

Cool

Morning everyone who is out of bed.

It is chucking it down but is still fairly mild.

Essential shopping today to Tesco’s in Callington.

Then I have my vaccination jab at the health centre in Pensilva at 13.00.
