Nasty business those water leaks………I know, I’ve been there. Mine didn’t look as much of a mess as that, but pretty much the same amount of damage.
My insurers were pretty good & sorted things as quickly as they could in spite of being in the dreaded lockdowns of 2020,
One thing I would recommend is getting your own quote for the repairs. My insurers appointed their contractors who sent an assessor out……..he was basically a loss adjuster & was going to authorise the bare minimum of repairs. I chased them & got my own people in. The only downside is if you have any problems it’s between you & your contractor as the insurers (understandably) don’t want to know.

Morning all,

A clear start to the day with a sharp frost here.

Not at work today so I'll be mostly found finishing my binge watch of the Apple TV series 3 'For all Mankind'

Cool

Morning Jeff and all early risers.

Slight frost this morning.

Taking Banana for a run this morning, she hasn’t been out for nearly a week. I have started her up a couple of times though.

That must be totally heartbreaking for your Son and family Steve.

I hope the insurance companies sort the claim out as soon as possible so they can get back in to their house with everything as good as new.

She will love a quick cold blast of air down her lungs Bob

Morning all, yet another frost this morning. Apparently it’s going to me slightly warmer over the next weekend , I wish the frost would disappear for a good while I hate frost in the morning.
Apparently next week is going to be a bit warmer, up to 5° next week.

Morning. Weather getting a bit predictable, cold (-3) and frosty. There's a warning for heavy snow here tomorrow, better do a bit of shopping today just in case.

Still perishing here, Cant get into both of the greenhouses as the doors are frozen shut. Off to Christies Salford shortly for the initial planning stage of radio therapy treatment.

Todays winter warming dinner.

Chicken Casserole:drrol4:

Chicken pan seared and then everything in the slow cooker for seven hours. Then to finish off, everything in a casserole dish in the oven for an hour with the dumplings added.
