Collected little Bob’s ashes tonight, I opted for the little sleeping cat urn.
I didn’t do the paw print thing & didn’t really like the idea of the fur sample, but I think I’ll have one of those little golden leaf plaques made & stick it on the fence.

I have my late dog who went to sleep in 1995. He was taken for a walk with my late dad , he was half collie and half spaniel called Benjy .
He was sent to sleep in 1995 and had belonged to someone I knew who kept her own dog, and he was take to us after she couldn’t keep him when her work meant she couldn’t keep him. She was thought to be about 3/4 old when I got him and I had him for about 10 years, I would desperately love him again today, he was a lovely dog, I’ll try and get a good photo of him to get it on soon .

Good morning all,

No more issues last night with the robbers. I reckon they got a fright when the police arrived with guns at the ready and we have beefed up extra patrols during the night.

Dentist this afternoon, I do have some teeth left

What’s everyone up to?

Good morning Col, how are you doing? I think the important thing In remembering Bob is to dedicate something which works for you. I’d find a fur sample a bit too gruesome to bear, but something like a plaque or a burial site in the garden for ashes with a plant or a bush would be comforting. We are fortunate to have this at our small holding and some days I go along to remember them or I go there for a chat.

Take care

Morning Phil, I’m ok just very sad. I’m still a bit stunned that it’s happened. I think losing Bob has been harder because he’s been here so long (he would turn 11 in a couple of months) & I brought him up from being able to fit in your hand, to being a handful Also he’s the first one of my cats to get a name.

I felt the same as you about the fir sample, plus it was quite expensive to have one.

My original big black cat is in his favourite corner of the garden with a cat ornament marking his spot. My second one, a gorgeous little tortoiseshell is in her favourite spot, but has no marker. I plan to keep Bob’s ashes in the house for the time being, maybe one day I’ll put them in a suitable spot.

Cool

Morning everyone.

A very thick frost this morning but we do have a sunrise to greet the day.

It will give you comfort having Bob at home, that, will give you time to choose a nice spot where he liked to be, and lay him to rest,

I share your grief and pain, but that shows that you loved and cared for him whilst he was with you.
