Morning Phil, Yes what a difference that medication has made Such a relief to be able to empty my bladder again, I wouldn't have thought one little pill before bedtime could have made so much difference.

I didn't enjoy the month long commutes into Salford one bit, I'd forgotten how soul destroying driving in heavy traffic was since retiring.

I shall be checking on all the seeds I've sown in the greenhouses & it looks like I've got a lot of laundry to do judging by the laundry basket, We have a daughter who thinks clean clothes just magically appear . The tumble drier is broken and is it worth doing any until it's fixed? Nowt will dry on the washing line just yet

My missus has been in bed for the last two days with her painful arthritis so I dare say a trip to Aldi is on the cards too for some essentials.

My other half is the same about dirty plates etc. she dumps them in the sink then when she’s not looking a kitchen pixie rinses them and puts them in the dishwasher.

Never forget when management had a brain f@rt and decided one man could run every freight train and others in Scotland. They transferred the three of us from Edinburgh to Motherwell about 50 miles away. The idea was the former Motherwell based gaffers would continue to run their side of the country and we’d continue to run ours sitting at opposite sides of a desk learning each other’s territory. Very quickly we realised it was too much for one man, the only time one man could cope was at the weekends when there was less running but management persisted. 50+ mile commute, 12 hour shift then 50+ miles home again was a nightmare. Coming off the nightshift was worst, you’d be driving along the M8 suddenly realise where you are with no recollection of the journey prior to that point After a year it came to the point where we gave the management an ultimatum, this is pointless, transfer us back to Edinburgh or you will have three vacancies. Management relented.

Evening all , I had Andy NO1 and Quizzie here today. We went for along walk along the river Tyne then home for a cuppa, and Quizzie fell asleep next to us after she had a couple of swims in the river.

Morning all and welcome to the day,

How is everyone?

This morning we are driving out of Nairobi visiting the villages looking for clay flower pots of varying sizes for the garden.

Catch you later.
