Took a handful of Piriton and Paracetamol to ward off the pain.

We did have a scorpion in the bath and hallway a few days ago. Scorpions are plentiful around here - we have seen two in the house.

Always lift the toilet seat before sitting down and always check the sheets before getting into the bed. Shake the shoes out in case of scorpions.

So collected up the scorpions using a long handled toilet brush/ bowl and disposed of outside in the bushes.

What is everyone up to?

Morning all, What a grey day & rain expected here too later.

Blimey! Phil that's a bit scary I've got this stuck in my head now

Spider-Man, Spider-Man,
Does whatever a spider can
Spins a web, any size,
Catches thieves just like flies
Look Out!
Here comes the Spider-Man.

Thank you Richard for your kind thoughts. It’s a good sign my leg is not going black and I am still alive, but that is all part of being in Africa. Where we are on the mountain there are lots of snakes and crawling things, some are harmless but some are dangerous and poisonous.

When I first went camping with the family out in the bush, there were 14 of us sitting round the fire. The evenings entertainment consisted of each of us taking it in turns to tell a story. The thing is to make the story believable and it can be anything, a ghost story is always popular. I had a gash on my arm and that one was from a shark attack The family loved it “sicko’s”, seeing Gate Keeper being attacked by a shark, of course it was a whopper!

Have a great day
