Nice job on the BBQ base Jeff.
Cheers Ian, it's a work in progress. Hoping the Ninja will be back in stock soon!

Wandering around Rome again but called it quits, too bleedin’ hot, high 20s. 28 degrees according to my phone. Back in the hotel cooling off.

Morning all,

Looks like it's another fine day in store for us

Braintree is my destination for work this morning.

Coffee, Porrige and a banana for breakfast!

Cool

Morning everyone.

It’s still sunny but with high clouds.

We have two Spitfire’s flying over Longstone Park this afternoon on their way to the Royal Cornwall Show at Wadebridge.

Morning all, High cloud here but looks like an hot sunny day later judging by the forecast.
Leo looks real comfy as if he's had some catnip I've got a big plant of it I grew from seed this year.
I've been giving ours sprigs of it & they love it.
Black pudn & egg toasted sarnie with brown sauce for brekkie.
The window guys are supposed to be coming today to seal under one window & replace the broken hinge. After all the missed appointments by them I'm not getting my hopes up.

Think my last Rover meet was 2016 in Gretna, after that nothing springs to mind except maybe the odd Pride of Longbridge and even that was for sure before 2020.

My faithful silver 45 with all of its parts intact has gone to make fridges and washing machines. The metal maggots and tin worms had eaten away too much of the inner and outer sills sadly.

Am I correct in thinking you are Roverless?
Good morning all, morning Ian

How times fly, yeah happy days in a beautiful setting amongst the northerners.

Sorry to hear about your pride n joy which I had the pleasure of seeing many times over several years.

My former S Reg is under new ownership, being looked after by a good mate, who is an enthusiast and highly experienced and qualified mechanic. He has the skills and resources to take the S Reg all the way to showroom standard.

I don’t rule out owning another 75 in the future. For now I get to drive various free cars, the last ones - made in Germany and were/are very comfortable for driving.

Remember Rod who organised the meet at the Lion? He is Roverless and had to give up driving due to health. We wish him the best for the future, a nice chap and his wife Angela, such nice people.

So we must make the most of what we have whilst we have it.

This morning I am driving to London, overnight in a hotel and tomorrow seeing a surgeon to get the results of the scans I had 2 weeks ago, then discuss the next operation, a femoral popliteal bypass with a graft on the right leg. Hopefully my last operation. Ultimately the operation is to save the leg from amputation. After the op I won’t be able to drive for several months. All of this is hidden. If you saw me I look as though I am in perfect health, so I count my blessings.

I rarely watch the news these days as the media loves to make something out of nothing and they love the miserable stories.

Have a great day
