My interest was piqued by the tv ad for the Woodfire BBQ until I noticed how small it is, in the ad half a dozen chicken thighs and that's yer lot.

Changed the plaster on my leg for a more "up market" one. The way I bleed (blood thinning meds) Ging makes sure there's a supply of good quality bandages.

There’s only the two of us so that doesn’t really cause a problem . You can easily fit more than that on there anyhow .
I’ll be cooking a whole extra large chicken in it tomorrow .

Morning all, What an 'orrible nights sleep in that heat, Going to be the same again today/tonight looking at the forecast.
The rain last night didn't amount to much & no sign of thunderstorms either.

That's a cracking bit o kit Jeff I've seen a couple of people on YT with Ninja brand gear (air fryers) & they all say they're very good.

Ging got one of those Ninja air fryers, she likes it, I've never really used it.

Pops won't be happy, groomer arrives at nine

We are also in post holiday mode and still on euro time! She's washing clothes and I'm washing cars! Two weeks of airport long stay plane soot on one and seagull poop on the other! Doh! Both very chilled out and can't face telly yet. It's so depressing and toxic. Two weeks on a forested greek island mountain, have done the trick. Kalimera.

Yep...
It was Youtube videos that sold it to us.
We have a large Gas BBQ and it is such hassle to prepare it, keep it clean, get new gas for it etc etc.
This is far more compact and has non stick cooking surfaces. Just remove them, pop them in the sink with some warm soapy water and wipe them down. No scrubbing required.
The only thing you need to get is silicone based bbq tools to avoid scratching the non stick surfaces.
The unit also combines an air fryer and bbq griddle into the one package.
Yesterday, apart from grilling the meats we cooked some potato wedges in the air fryer basket and used the smoke function on them. You can choose to add the smoke to any type of cooking on the unit as desired. They turned out delicious, smoky flavour, crispy on the skin and fluffy inside

I'm going to cook some breakfast in it shortly and see how that comes out.
Btw, so long as you don't use the smoker function you can use the unit indoors as well.

Rome is only an hour ahead of the UK, didn't think it would make a difference but must have. Trouble sleeping there due to overnight "Hollywood severity" thunderstorms several nights, get back to my own bed and still can't get a decent sleep

When we arrived in Rome we had a transfer booked from the airport to the hotel . . . . never appeared Tried calling the number, no success, a couple of very helpful locals tried it for us a well, same result. Ended up getting a shuttle bus into the centre of the city then a taxi. Coming back same transfer service wanted us to walk about 20 minutes to a pick up point . . . . hauling heavy cases along the rough cobbled side streets . . . . f that! Used the hotel's preferred taxi service which in itself was confusing. Advertised as 55 euros at the hotel reception but when we arrived at the airport the driver only wanted 31

Yesterday turned out to be a good day at the steam rally.
I met quite a few people I know from customers and still waiting until I get back to work, had a fairly good chap with people and nearly each person I was talking to all were saying their wish me very best to get back to work.

Hopefully, you will be able to crack on with life at a pace again soon. I had a long time off just before I retired, and it was quite a task moving on. Best of luck with your recovery. Take care. Mike
