Same here, it’s the first anniversary since my mum passed away last year.
To try and help me concentrate on something happening today, I’m going out for a coffee with a friend.
I’ll don’t think I’ll be around for today though.

I'm wet through with sweat! Next door but one has a pear & apple tree that hang over the fence over the service road at the back, It was mentioned to the relatives who are looking after that house as the owner has gone into a care home because he cant manage, Lovely man.

They lopped all the branches off but left all the apples & pears ankle deep in the roadway

Lazy beggers. I've just spaded them up in two wheelbarrow fulls & put them on my compost heaps. If I didn't have to pick Mam up later this afternoon I'd be having a cold Henry's.

Its such a lovely summer's day here that when I put a couple of kettlefuls of boiling water in the sink to flush the drain the kitchen windows misted up! This is August . . . . isn't it

Yet again all day but peeing down with rain, off for 5 minutes then starting again. I’m really sick of this c r a p weather, next week is for 2 days of sunshine but the rest of rain.

The problem these days is rats coming from under shed or hedge between us and next door, and stealing hens food. Yesterday I took feeder out of greenhouse and left it outside the garden table, went out 5 minutes later and found 2 rats helping themselves, so I bought some citronella. This is VERY lemon scent and just a few drops out where hen food is gets rid of the rats as they hate the smell. You can get it from Superdrug for a little more than a fiver but supposed to get rid of the pests. I’ll keep you posted.
