It’s hit 28 degrees here. But there is a keen wind.

Fish n Chips look ace.

The whisky didn't do a lot Bob, I still feel rubbish, only managed to lock myself away in the office and do a lot of PC work today.

Hope you feel better soon mate.

You need a couple pints of proper Rattler, cures all.

I need to get to Healeys Farm to top up.

That sounds like a better plan Bob, had a pint or two when we were in Newlyn, on draught, it was lovely.

Good news about your brother, Glad he's doing well. I'm still the same regards going to the toilet every hour through the night, I thought that might have improved since the radiotherapy.

I've also stated to get tingling in my feet & aqt times it gets really painful stabbing pains, Whether that's nerve damage from the radiotherapy I don't know, It's only come about since then.

I've been for my three monthly hormone jab this morning by the local nurse at the local clinic, I was telling her about the problems I've had trying to get PSA blood tests sorted out or any information about my prostate cancer which I've had zero contact since finishing the radiotherapy at Christies in February this year I've had one PSA test in May & that was a marathon exercise in trying to get it sorted I should have had a series of them by now so she looked into it on the computer for me, Low & behold she found that PSA blood test result & printed it off for me, It's 6.5 which is higher than it should be & the reference notes said above "age specific reference range & urgent specialist referral."
I've got a meeting with the oncologist at Christies next week on the 12th September.

For some reason there is no history of all my blood tests on the computer at my doctors surgery so I've been given forms to arrange more blood tests, I've got them booked at this local clinic instead of Bolton bloods dept.

Have a great day swimming.
Thank you Ian for replying, not everyone does and I think it’s because it is down to their own self importance or ignorance. You have always been polite and never rude. One of the chill outers is in hospital at the moment seriously ill but he doesn’t want me to say who it is. We wish him well for a speedy recovery.

Of interest to you Ian, my brothers PSA was 8.0 and the scan showed spread to the pelvis. This has triggered off chemotherapy for 6 months in addition to hormone injections, all designed to control and slow the spread of the cancer.

We have changed our plans for going swimming today. On Wednesday I am seeing an Osteopath and afterwards we are driving to the coast for a few days where we hope to do swimming in the tidal pool, I need to work on my fitness.

I am sorry to hear you are struggling at night visiting the toilet every hour and you have been getting burning feet.

I had burning feet for with numbness, pins and needles in both feet for 11 years, a condition called peripheral neuropathy. I was put on Gabapentin for 11 years which improved the feet. Then after my operation last year, the burning feet stopped burning and I was able to stop the Gabapentin completely.

Do mention it to the Oncologist about the burning feet and the frequent visits to the toilet. Tell the doc anything.

Take care

Morning Phil, Yes the burning feet is uncomfortable to say the least It feels like you're walking with pebbles in your shoes & seems worse at night time in bed.

I used to take gabapentin for nerve damage to my leg after an accident at work falling off the trailer but my doc stopped it as he said it clashed with some other meds I'm on, I've forgotten which one now

I've not mentioned it to the doctor yet until I've seen the Christies oncologist next week as I was worried it could cause problems with my doc informing DVLA and suspending my licence until further tests (I've got enough on my plate at present), If your a professional driver & have this peripheral neuropathy it's mandatory you have to go through this procedure apparently so I wasn't sure if it was for all drivers

I got a form off the McMillan people from the start with a list of known side effects from the radiotherapy which I've been ticking off + I've been keeping score of other things also.
My toilet habits have changed drastically since the radiotherapy.

Thank you Ian for replying. It’s perfectly understandable your decision about the doc and the dvla. Transport and being able to drive is your lifeline and long may it continue. All the very best with your appointment next week.

Cool

27.5 degrees so far today. Unfortunately I have overdone it in the garden and have now hurt my back. Been told off by a neighbour for making myself unwell.

But on the bright side I now having a walking partner. Hoping to go on our first jaunt on Thursday down to the coast.
