Morning from a rather parky Scotland. Thank God for good service! We're on gas cylinders for heating and hot water (no mains connection), use very little gas during the summer, been thinking I need to order gas, left it too late, Ging shouted from the bathroom yesterday afternoon "there's no hot water!" . . . . oops! Gas has run out. Ordered yesterday afternoon, woken up by cylinders being delivered and connected 6:30 this morning. I'll order another two in a week or so to get us up to a full quota, four in total, runs off two at a time.

Evening all.

I can confirm it has been a nice sunny day here in Norfolk. The rest of the week don't look too good mind

We filled up the tanks and got the final bits and bobs done ready for our departure from Norfolk on the 28th October. I am going to miss it up here but hopefully we will get more time onboard Lady Emma when she is nearer to home.

We will be popping up when we can to see the many good friends we have made over the years.

Anyhow. We will be leaving Acle on Saturday around noon to arrive at Great Yarmouth yacht station around 14.00-14.30hrs.

We will be mooring up briefly to allow our skipper onboard and to lower the navigation masts and aerials for safe transit under those two pesky bridges ...Make that three as we will be going u under Haven bridge as well.

A quick stop to put nav mast back up and antennas, then out to sea for a short run to Lowestoft where we will be staying the night in Lowestoft Yacht Club Marina.

Sunday, it's a morning departure to run with the tide for an ETA around noon in Walton On The Naze, Titchmarsh Marina.

The weather forecast for the Sunday is sunny with a moderate breeze. Hopefully that won't change and we will be good to go.

Sounds like a fun trip Jeff, all the best for the run mate.

The few Acle Bridge meets we attended will always be good memories for me.

The Sparrowhawk has been out & about this morning looking for it's breakfast around the bird feeders & he's just snatched one out of the laurel tree

Morning all from a rather windy but dry Acle.

This will probably be my last morning check in from Acle. My next visit will be on our departure day!

Good morning all, good morning Jeff,

So 28 October is the big day for you, a trip of a lifetime and you have everything prepared, positive thoughts for you and Ros.

On 25 October I have an appointment with the surgeon who operated on me and hopefully he will give me the all clear. I want the all clear or when it’s ok for me to go swimming and cycling. Because of the nature of the operations he said I am NOT allowed to do any kneeling or crossing of legs.

So we are in the hotel one more week until 26 October, then we head back to Bristol.

Because the bar and restaurant of the hotel is still closed, yesterday I decided to give us a treat for lunch delivered, Fish and Chips with mushy peas….£62 for 2, well I said it was a treat, there was even extra chips

Today, practicing walking and practicing walking stairs just using one crutch which is progress. In fact my recovery so far is going well. Jessica the same, 12 weeks on from her hip replacement she is driving and walking without a stick, all good.
